Step 1
Verified starting point
Enable POS Lite in the branch, save, then choose Open Counter Register in the dashboard header.
- Register and Orders are separate tabs
- Payment controls are Cash or Card terminal, with Fully paid, Partially paid, or Unpaid
- Fulfillment controls are Takeaway, Dine-in, and Carside
Step 2
Enable POS Lite and assign the operator
Open the branch, enable POS Lite under Ordering Modes, and select Save. In Settings → Team, invite the cashier or manager with a named account and assign the branch. Owners can open every tenant branch; managers and cashiers fail closed without an explicit branch assignment.
- Do not use a waiter PIN to unlock POS Lite
- Test the invited account before the first shift
Step 3
Create and collect a walk-in order
Open Open Counter Register from the dashboard header and choose the appropriate fulfillment type. Add items and modifiers, confirm the server-calculated total, and select the real collection method. Cash, card-at-handoff, and supported online collection remain separate from fulfillment status.
- Record payment only after it is actually received
- Use the receipt and kitchen print controls configured for the branch
Step 4
Correct and close the service session
Use authorized order actions for cancellation, refund, or correction so the audit history remains intact. At shift close, use the session reconciliation report to compare recorded cash and payment totals with the physical count and provider records.
- Investigate a variance instead of editing history to force agreement
- Hand the next cashier a documented session state
