Payment gateways: what is supported and how to request more

The payment line-up by region — SkipCash in Qatar, Stripe internationally, cash and counter everywhere — and how to request an additional gateway as a one-time-fee integration.

The short version

  • Cash and pay at counter work everywhere, on every plan, with zero setup.
  • In Qatar, online order payments run through SkipCash using your own merchant account.
  • Outside Qatar, online payments run through Stripe — the integration is arranged with our team.
  • Other gateways are not pre-integrated, but can be added on request for a one-time setup fee.

Restaurants in Qatar

Qatar restaurants get the full line-up out of the box: cash, pay at counter, and online payments via SkipCash. SkipCash is a Qatar-native provider, so settlement, support, and compliance all happen locally, and customers pay in QAR on a familiar local payment page.

Connecting SkipCash takes a few minutes once you have a merchant account — see the SkipCash setup guide for the steps.

Restaurants outside Qatar

For international restaurants, the payment strategy is Stripe plus cash plus pay at counter. Stripe covers cards and local payment methods in most countries where it operates.

The Stripe integration is arranged with our team rather than self-serve: contact support, tell us your country and your Stripe account status, and we set up the connection with you. This keeps the configuration correct for your region’s payment methods and currency.

Requesting another gateway

Some restaurants prefer a specific regional provider — MyFatoorah, Tap Payments, PayTabs, Checkout.com, or a local processor their bank recommends. These are not pre-integrated into DashDine, and choosing one of them at checkout is not something customers can do today.

What we offer instead is a custom integration: we build the connection to your chosen gateway for a one-time setup fee between 99 and 499 QAR, depending on the provider’s complexity and documentation quality. After that one-time fee, the gateway works like any other payment option with no recurring integration charge from us.

  1. 1

Contact our team with the gateway name and your merchant account details with that provider.

  2. 2

We review the provider’s API and confirm feasibility and the exact setup fee within the 99–499 QAR range.

  3. 3

You approve the quote, and we build and test the integration against your merchant account.

  4. 4

Online payment through your chosen gateway goes live for your branches.

Choosing what is right for you

  • Just launching? Start with cash and pay at counter — they cost nothing and work on day one.
  • In Qatar with steady volume? Connect SkipCash; prepaid orders cut no-shows and speed up handoff.
  • Outside Qatar? Ask our team to arrange Stripe — it covers most international markets.
  • Locked into a specific provider by your bank or franchise agreement? Request a custom integration and budget the one-time setup fee.

Frequently asked

  • Is the gateway setup fee monthly or one-time?
One-time. You pay between 99 and 499 QAR once for the integration to be built; there is no recurring integration charge from DashDine afterwards. Normal transaction fees from your payment provider still apply.
  • Can customers choose between two online gateways at checkout?
Checkout offers one online payment option per branch alongside cash and pay at counter. If you switch providers, the new one replaces the old at checkout.
  • How long does a custom gateway integration take?
It depends on the provider’s API quality. We confirm a timeline along with the quote when you request the integration — straightforward providers are typically faster.
